Ingredients:
5 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp salt
4 tsp ginger
4 tsp cinnamon
1 ½ tsp cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ cups molasses
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, cloves
and nutmeg. Beat together butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time scraping
bowl down in between. Add molasses and scrape down bowl again. With mixer on
low speed add flour.
Chill one hour in the fridge.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out dough on a
well-floured surface until ¼ “ thick. Place dough back in the freezer for 15
minutes. Then cut with cookie cutters.
Bake for 12-14 minutes.
